If you missed one of the latest episodes in Season 13’s hilarious debut of the hit Comedy Central show, South Park, no worries, I didn’t! I think that Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the creators of the show) decided that enough was enough, and that it was finally time to for the show to go somewhere it had never ventured prior: talking about the current disarray of the worldwide, global economy! If you ask me, I am quite surprised that they never did this in the past season, but then again, I am not they! So if you did miss this more recent episode, called, “Margaritaville,” then check out this post for a rundown and an awesome clip my friends!

Oh Man, the Christians are Going to be Pissed Off!
This episode starts with Randy Marsh moaning about the current state of the economy as he uses a very pricey margarita maker while eating a sparse dinner because his family is struggling financially. As he explains to his son that people ran out and bought things that they did not need, he comes to the realization that he could help change the world. Later on in the episode he forms a cult that teaches that the economy is God and that people have angered it by overspending. Meanwhile, Kyle, who is making fun of Jesus in this, decides that people are not spending enough and becomes the Covetous Jew.

The Economy in Shambles, and South Park is Capitalizing!

I think it may have taken a while for the show to touch on this sensitive topic, but here is the main funniness: they are making millions of dollars per week, on an episode that rambles about the current state of the economy. I do believe the comedy here is twofold folks. Do I care, not really I love this show, and I think it is high time that somebody made fun of our own mistakes.

Classic Clip for you to all Watch, Laugh and Enjoy!
In the clip below, which is called, “Sliced Hot Dogs and Tomatoes [3],” Randy is explaining to his son Stan why and how the economy got into the current state that it is in. Randy looks like a hypocrite is he makes a mixed drink from a fancy machine that he borrowed to purchase while explaining that people over borrowed to buy things that they could not afford, which is the current plight of global economics.
