10 Reasons to Love Chef

Add Comment

Isaac Hayes, you are missed. While your departure from South Park was rather controversial, and your death so sudden and tragic, we will always miss you from new South Park episodes. Chef, you were the man. Here are ten reasons why.

10. You were often the only sane adult around. While Stan’s mom, Sharon, might lock up a cop and pilfer his pants to protect her son, and Cartman’s mom might use a kitty for a dildo, you were the one who wanted to save the kids from the zombies, informed them about the “visitors,” and served as their most trusted source of advice.

9. “Hello there, children.” And every time the boys were around—even if it was just one of them!—it was always, “children.”

Words I’ve Learned From Stan & Co.

Add Comment

Normally I wouldn’t advise picking up any habits, activities, or especially words from Stan Marsh and his buddies from South Park. But you have to admit, Matt and Trey do know how to cover the issues—from homelessness to hybrid cars, Al Gore to the Pope, no issue—and no person—is safe from being turned into a cartoon, ridiculed, sworn about, and completely annihilated—all for our enjoyment. Thanks, guys!

The same goes for the language of the show. Sure, there are plenty of bleeps—so many that we’ve even seen an episode where they took count—but there are also usually words that you’ve either never heard of before—or that you heard of but still have no idea what they mean.

5 Most Annoying South Park Characters of All Time

As much as I love South Park, Matt and Trey can come up with some pretty annoying characters. Sometimes they’re funny, but sometimes they just drag on and on and on and… you get the idea. Every time I’m about to watch new South Park episodes, I always wonder what new characters will be introduced next—and if I’ll either like them or want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon.

I’m sure everyone has their own list of top annoying characters, and there are plenty that I’m sure I don’t have listed—Mephisto, the Mayor, and Miss Choksondik, for example, are all pretty irritating in their own special ways. Terrance and Phillip are so irritating you pretty much wanted us to fry them in the movie. Cartman is always annoying, although it’s usually the kind of annoying that makes you laugh until you pee.

Get Your Fix at South Park Studios

I don’t know about you, but waiting for new South Park episodes can sometimes be excruciating. Is the second half of season 13 ever going to get here? We wait and we wait and we wait… Then we think, what the hell, I’ll watch one of the newer episodes again. And then you go to watch them “on demand” or whatever, and all that’s there are a handful of really old episodes you’ve already seen a thousand times before.

If you’re like me, you’ve got a bunch of the old episodes on DVD, but that can get really old really fast. So what’s the next best thing to watching a new episode of South Park?

Playing around at South Park Studios, says I!

The Best Paybacks Against Cartman

Add Comment

As much as tubby, foul-mouthed Eric Cartman sends us in the floor, doubled over and snorting whatever beverage we’ve swallowed from our noses, there’s no question that he’s a world class jackass. And when people get their revenge on Cartman, they get him good. Here is a list of some of the best paybacks against Cartman.

AWESOME-O: As Cartman tries to pull yet another one over Butters, Butters realizes at the last minute his new best friend the robot is really Cartman simply trying to get a tape of himself singing and dancing as Brittany Spears back from Butters. So, little Mr. Stotch does what he had been planning to do all along, and humiliates Cartman in front of everyone by showing the tape. Cartman’s response? A defeated, “Lame.”

Best Six South Park Clips From Season 8, Part Six: “Blood Orgy

Where they got the idea for this crazy episode we will never know, but we are sure glad that they made it. Woodland Critters are the theme, an imaginary story that is narrated by one Eric Cartman as he reads his holiday story to the class. Kyle, of course, is the main character in the story, and has no Christmas to celebrate because he is Jewish. Without a doubt, this is the best and the most offensive episode in season eight.

Best Six South Park Clips From Season 8, Part Three: “He's Not Black?!”

Part three of our best-of clips from season eight of South Park kicks off right now! We had to make some tough decisions on which episodes made the cut for these six clips. But this one was literally an easy pick. Let’s see here…Michael Jackson in South Park acting uncouth and playing with children, while a racist detective tries to frame him for murder? Priceless beyond all doubt, and great fodder for this ongoing series of ours. Let’s take a quick gander at this classic episode, shall we?

Best Six South Park Clips From Season 8, Part Two: “Good Times With Weapons”

Add Comment

We are now thick in the midst of our ongoing series that we are using to pull the best (at least what we think are the best) six clips from each season of South Park. As we wind our way chronologically backwards through the many seasons of the show, we find ourselves in the middle of Season Eight. Believe it or not, this season had so many great episodes, that summing them down to a mere six for the sake of this series proved to be a rather trying task at hand.

Why This Episode was Awesome
Kids playing with real ninja weapons…what could possibly go wrong? I think this episode demonstrates how fearful people are of getting into trouble. When the boys brandish weapons and accidentally hurt Butters, they are only worried about getting caught and grounded. They devise many different plans to cover up their schemes and in the end only make things worse for themselves. Sounds a lot like human nature doesn’t it?
