Over the years, South Park has poked fun at almost every celebrity out there. It doesn't matter if you are a computer genius, reality star or television actor, the South Park team will find a way to include you in their series. Of course, most of the "celebrity" voices are actually poorly impersonated by the creators themselves, but a handful of famous people have lent their voices to the show.
So, which celebrity did the best job?
Drum roll, please.....
And the winner is....
George Clooney!
Yes, that's right. The world's most famous bachelor is also the best celebrity to ever do a voice over on South Park. His voice has also been heard in more episodes than any other actual celebrity on the show.
Here are his credits (in order of ingenuity):
- Sparky in Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride. Clooney is actually the voice of Stan's dog Sparky. Sparky runs away after Stan discovers his dog is gay. The dog finds solace at Big Gay Al's Big Gay Animal Sanctuary. Soon, Stan is able to accept him for who he is. Clooney's million dollar voice is used for one line, "Woof!"
- Dr. Gouache on South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut - As Kenny's emergency room doctor in the feature film, George Clooney mocks the role that he played for several seasons on the hit television show ER. Clooney states that the doctors accidentally replaced Kenny's heart with a baked potato and only has seconds left to live. When Kenny finally dies moments later, the doctor looks distraught, proclaiming, "It never gets any easier!" He then walks away, while whistling a happy tune.
- Could of Smug in Smug Alert! Clooney's voice is actually a recording of his acceptance speech from the 78th Academy Awards. It was this speech that caused a "cloud of smug" to cover the town of South Park and create the "perfect storm." Clooney stated that he was in no way offended by this use of his speech.
George Clooney has been a long time fan of the show, since its beginning days as a viral video on the internet. South Park fans can only hope that he chooses to do a few more voice overs for the show in upcoming seasons.
