Finally, it seems that we have reached the best clip from Season 11, the sixth and final clip that we will bestow upon all of you great readers in this series. And did you think that we would not save the best for last? Of course we did! The episode called, “You Can’t Say That on Television!” was perhaps the most offensive episode ever to be created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone in the sense that it uses the n-word about a hundred times, but because it uses that word out of context, and is actually refereeing to Randy (another episode about Stan’s dad), they get away with it. Not only do they get away with it, they are lauded by the black community somehow?
Nothing is Off Limits for Trey Parker and Matt Stone
This episode clearly demonstrates that Stone and Parker can really get away with nearly anything. Another episode that was similar to this one – in the sense that they use profane dialogue to drive a point – was the episode where they say the word $hit about 220 times. And no, they did not even get fined for the episode. Perhaps they were looking back and decided, “Hey, what abrasively offensive word can we get away with using this time around?”
How Does South Park Get Away With It?
If you have ever wondered this, I believe I have the answer for you all. They get away with pulling so much hoopla because they always drive a moral at the end of each episode and throughout. Not only do they do that, but they have been smart enough to never allow their show to get picked up by a major television network. Instead, they are aired on basic, pay for TV cable. This type of TV medium has far more lax standards and can get away with more things by the FCC.
Watch Best Clip #6 from Season 11: “You Can’t Say That on Television!”
And now…the final clip in this series on Season 11’s best of clips, and funniest one from that entire season, “You Can’t Say That on Television!” This clip was from the start of this episode where Randy Marsh is on the final puzzle for the TV show, ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ When he is unable to solve a puzzle the gives him the letters, N_GGERS, and the hint is, “People who annoy you,” Randy guess the n-word and wows the entire nation, when the actual word is ‘Naggers.’
