As we continue if our backwards moving series of the best clips from South Park, we near the halfway mark for the best six clips from the illustrious and hilarious, the one and only: Season 11. This season truly marked a transition for the show…where they began to center more episodes around Randy Marsh (Stan’s dad) and kept up with the status quota of making many episodes that star Eric Cartman—the devious little fat kid. But, Season 11 also poked fun at Christians, Easter, The Pope, Jesus, Lice and Terrorists…what will they make fun of next?
An Episode that Doesn’t Center on Randy or Cartman?
This episode, which was dubbed, “Lice Capades,” aired early during Season 11 and offered a different sort of feeling from most. It featured Clive, the kid that most kids hate in South Park because he has always been so popular. When the school worries over a lice scare, they have all of the kids tested. And much to everyone’s surprise, Clive is infested with lice in his head. Of course, nobody fesses up, which leads to much later drama. Additionally, this episode focused on a byline story that featured a family of lice trying to survive getting shampooed on Clive’s scalp.
Why the Episode, “Lice Capades” Rocked!
“Lice Capades” rocked because it broke the status quo for South Park; not featuring Cartman as a staple or Randy Marsh. It also broke tradition by offering a completely separate story. If you listen to the commentary on the DVD box set for this season, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (creators of the show) stated that they wanted a totally different episode with an entirely separate feeling. Originally they were not even going to make the lice able to talk, but later changed their minds.
