The end of the first half of Season Thirteen of South Park is most certainly upon us (sob). And as we anticipate and look forwards to the next half of this season, at least we can say that there are seven episodes to watch reruns of in the meantime. So, let’s take a brief look back at the newest episodes of South Park and see what the next half of the season holds in store for us!
The Ring
This was a decent opening episode that poked fun at Mickey Mouse, Disney and especially The Jonas Brothers. Centering on purity rings, selling sex through music to kids and of course, Kenny dying again from getting oral sex!
The Coon
After the ‘Dark Night’ movie hit, could you be any less surprised that they would poke fun at all of the recent slurry of comic book based movies on this show? Me either! This episode was funny and pits Cartman as a superhero against another masked hero.
Margaritaville
One of the best episodes of Season 13 so far that takes the calamity of the recession and the housing crisis and molds it with stories from the bible and the brashness of Randy Marsh. Perhaps one of the better episodes of the show in a long while!
Eat, Pray, Queef
This was a rather sloppy episode that introduced the Queef Sisters whom Terrance and Phillip date because they queef instead of farting all of the time. An obviously a rushed episode that lacked originality.
Fishsticks
An episode designed to make fun of Kanye West for being arrogant and one that combined this with a terrible joke. One of the worst episodes of South Park ever!
Pinewood Derby
A decent episode that runs rampant here and there. But at least it was original and back to their roots. Even if it is nothing that special in the end.
Fatbeard
A good closing episode for the mid-season, but at the same time it could have been funnier. Are they out of ideas? I hope not!
Le Light Saber Terrible!
Enjoy this hilarious clip (below) from the mid-season finale of South Park, “Fatbeard.” In this clip a French crew from a ship that was hijacked by Eric Cartman explain how they were terrified of Clive’s toy light saber. The funniest part is how they describe the light saber and its noises, combined with the fact that they are French and always run away—according to the show that is! This clip is imbedded below, try not to laugh so hard you pop a vessel in your eye (okay)!
