Let me ask you a serious question that even Kanye West (according to South Park) does not get. Are you a gay fish? What precedes that question is this one: do you like fish sticks? So, what’s the joke? When you say, “Do you like fish sticks,” it can sound like you are actually saying ‘fish dicks.’ So, if I insist because you do that you are a gay fish, then you will understand the lame humor behind a whole episode.

Mid-Season Finale of South Park Coming This Weds
If you have not watched the preview of the forthcoming mid-season finale, it looks like Trey Parker and Matt Stone are at it again. By that I mean they are taking tidbits from the news and using it to make the foundation for future episodes. This time around it’s the pirates in Somalia. Cartman decides that being a pirate is once more popular. So he forms a crew and decides to go on a pillaging run for himself. One can only imagine how messed up this episode is going to be!

Who Else Didn’t Get the Joke
To be honest, I was watching this episode and when Jimmy and Cartman come up with the joke, I did not immediately catch the underlying humor; the play on words if you will. Being a writer and a protagonist for South Park, I did feel a little bit…how do you say…uh dumb! But, about a minute later I understood the connotation of this lame joke and realized that was the gimmick behind this lackluster episode: make a joke that is not funny and make that the joke of the episode. It really made me wonder: are they even trying anymore?

Are You a Gay Fish (Funny South Park Clip Included) “You’re a Gay Fish”
In the clip (shown below) Cartman and Jimmy’s Gay Fish joke has circulated the entire world and everybody thinks that it is the funniest joke to ever be told. As the clip pans from one talk show host and show to another, they are all telling their version of the gay fish joke. But, when Kanye West still does not get the joke, nobody understands why. Finally, the clip ends at a live interview of the lyricist (West), who still does not get the joke, becomes irate and attacks the talk show host in his fury. Really freaking hilarious!
