The fun thing about South Park episodes is that they’re offensive—usually so tastelessly so that it makes easily offended people pretty ticked off, normal people sometimes offended (or at least say, “Hey now, that’s not right,” in a mildly offended tone)—and the rest of us freaking crack up. Here are ten of the most offensive songs of South Park.
10. “Kyle’s Mom is a Stupid B****”
This is one of those songs that can get stuck in your head all day if you hear it. I actually think that maybe that is why it’s so offensive, moreso than the lyrics themselves…!
9. “Honey, Babe, Be Mine”
So this song was sung by a random rancher and not one of our favorite characters, but the beauty of it was something that Matt and Trey often do that we all know and love—parody something famous. In this case, it’s a classic song (that’s often morphed into raunchy lyrics, if my childhood memories are correct) that this rancher changes with lyrics like, “You’ll do a line and I’ll do a line, we’ll fight and screw till morning time.”
8. “Uncle Fucka”
Who could forget the famous song that made Terrance and Phillip a menace to society (at least by Sheila Broflovski’s standards)?
7. Stevie Knicks as a Goat
I laughed so hard at this one, even though I completely love Stevie Knicks. In one of my favorite episodes, where the boys take on Osama Bin Laden (well, really just Cartman), they masquerade a goat around as Stevie Knicks—which everyone, of course, fully believes.
6. “Blame Canada”
Anyone who watches South Park instantly knows how much the show mocks Canadians, but this song really brings their mockery home with lyrics like, “With their beady little eyes/ and flapping heads so full of lies.”
5. “What What? In the Butt”
This song wouldn’t even be all that offensive if it were sung by a funny drag queen, or maybe by Kelly. But since it’s about a little schoolboy (Butters) who is willing to give people “the power” to rape him, it’s a more offensive tune.
4. “The Most Offensive Song Ever”
This song, performed by Mr. Hankey and Kenny on the Mr. Hankey Christmas Album, portrays the Virgin Mary as a not-quite-Virgin, the angel Gabriel as a champion of dildos, and the three wise men as horny little dudes.
3. “Merry F****** Christmas”
Oh, Mr. Garrison. You’re one of my favorite characters, and yet you have so little tolerance for anyone different from you—especially people of any religion other than Christianity. In this song, the boys’ teacher travels the world and tells people of other faiths to celebrate Christmas in not-so-nice ways.
2. “Chocolate Salty Balls”
This is classic South Park at its best! Sure, the song is ambiguously about Chef’s chocolate confections made especially for sale during the town’s film festival, but with lyrics like, “Suck on my chocolate salty balls/ Put ‘em in your mouth and suck ‘em!” if you hadn’t been watching the episode, you’d surely think it was a purely sexual song—especially with our beloved Chef singing it!
1. “Vote or Die”
Like most South Park songs, this original was based on Puff Daddy’s big push to vote at the time. Of course, Matt and Trey took it a step further by adding some pretty offensive lyrics, such as “Shake them titties when you vote, b****,” and “I said vote or die, b****, or I’ll f****** kill you.” Ahh, that’s the South Park that we know and love and gets threatened with lawsuits.
Are these on your top 10 list as well? If not, which South Park songs do you think are even more offensive?
